The Reality of Government-run Healthcare

Conservatives for Patients' Rights has launched two new national television ads, running on CNN and Fox News, featuring three Canadian and three British patients who have faced extreme adversity due to the shortcomings of government health care.

Hello CPR!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for being a voice for so many Americans who do NOT want Federal or State governments to interfere with our health, our access to health care and our relationships with our health care providers.

The videos featuring people in the UK and Canada who have needlessly suffered because of denial of care or denied access to reasonable and expedient care through their government programs is what scares me the most about what could happen here in the US. As a young, 44 year old, cancer patient with a rare form of genetic cancer (Hereditary Non-Polyposis Colon Cancer) that has an up to 70% rate for additional primary cancers I am unwilling to allow the government or a bureaucratic agency come between me and my personal responsibilities, my choices, my access to care, and my relationships with my healthcare team.

Thus far throughout my cancer experience I have been my own advocate for seeking the best medical intervention I have available. I believe that is my right and my responsibility as a citizen of a free and democratic America. I cannot accept the government interloping in my health and healthcare.

Most of all, I fear that my access to the best health care that I have so enjoyed previously will be circumvented by a government agency, which could have serious implications to my survival of future cancers.

Thank you CPR, for being diligent in the fight for an America where personal responsibility, personal freedoms, and personal rights are valued and cherished.

I will continue to share your organization and your website with my friends and family, and write to my political representatives to voice my own personal concerns for any government health care plan.

Regards...and good health to everyone at CPR,
Katie Hendrickson
