Official Statement from Rick Scott:
"Although the health care debate is far from over, it is clear that the public option, which Conservatives for Patients' Rights viewed as 'patient enemy number one,' is dead. This is a major victory for patients and we're pleased that a government-run public option plan is no longer a viable concept in Congress. Accordingly, we're stepping back from the debate and taking a breather. In the meantime, and consistent with our mission, CPR will remain focused on promoting the Four Pillars of Free-Market Health Care Reform - Choice, Competition, Accountability and Personal Responsibility - pillars that will lead to lower costs and better patient outcomes."
